Brian George

GEORGE, BRIAN KENNETH - Passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 13, 2009 with all of his family at his side at Bluewater Health Palliative Care, Brian Kenneth George, age 64, of Sarnia, best friend and loving husband of 45 years to Brenda Laureen (Hammill) George. Dear father of Darin George and his wife Jenny of Toronto, Missy Vernier and her husband Joe of Wyoming and Brad George of Sarnia. Loving popa of Samantha, Ian and Jesse. Brother of Brenda Arnoczky and her husband Steven of Williamston, Michigan and brother-in-law of Dean Hammill of Ottawa and Dennis Hammill (Christine) of Sarnia. Predeceased by parents Kenneth and Evelyn George, brother-in-law Brian Hammill and sister-in-law Leisa Golian (Hammill). Retired from Suncor, Brian was a fighter all of his life surviving great hardship with his health but he never complained or gave up for a minute. He was a great friend to all who knew him. He was an active member of Canon Davis Memorial Church and volunteered with the Kidney Foundation for many years. Funeral service will be held from Canon Davis Memorial Anglican Church (380 Russell St. N.) on Thursday, December 17th at 11:00 am. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be held at the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE on Wednesday between the hours of 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Prostate Cancer Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association (cheques only please).
