Bonnie Marie Hibbard

October 26, 1952-June 15, 2023

Bonnie Hibbard passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health Hospital in Sarnia on June 15, 2023.  She was predeceased by her parents Aubrey and Marie Hibbard and by her sister-in-law Paula Hibbard and a nephew and niece, Robert (Bobby) Hibbard and his sister Rebecca (Becky) Hibbard-Morgan.   She is survived by her 3 siblings Robert (Beth) Hibbard, David (Dave) Hibbard, Allen (Mary Ann) Hibbard.  She is survived by her niece Shannon Hibbard and nephews Scott and Paul Hibbard. 

Bonnie was born and raised in Sarnia but also lived in Hamilton and the United States.  She worked as an RNA in Sarnia General Hospital and also worked in Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Bonnie had a sweet and welcoming disposition.  When she made a friend, she had that friend for life.  She cared for others and when they faced adversity in their life, she would always pray for them.  That concern led her to a nursing career.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thank you to the palliative care staff at the Bluewater Health Hospital for the loving care extended to Bonnie during her final hours, and to Twin Lakes Assisted Care Facility.  We very much appreciate the administration, staff, and residents who were like family to her.  She loved you all very much.

There will be a celebration service for Bonnie, on Tuesday June 27, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Sarnia Church of Christ, 796 Errol Road East, Sarnia, Ontario.
