Blanche Dora Vandenberghe

VANDENBERGHE, BLANCHE - Peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at Trillium Villa Nursing Home on Sunday, July 21, 2019, Blanche Dora (Archer) Vandenberghe, age 89 of Sarnia passed away. She fought a great battle against cancer and COPD. Blanche was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband Gustaf, twin sons Donald and Douglas, sons in law Douglas and Delbert. She is survived by her daughters Shirley Chypyha, Donna Rockwood (Jeffrey) and son Jeffery Vandenberghe and Cindy Vandenberghe.  She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren who brought joy and a smile to her face every time she saw them. Blanche had many friends at Trillium Villa where she enjoyed all the fun activities, bingo, outings, craft time and church. Thank you to Dr. John O’Mahony, Dr. Crombeen, Dr. Raz and Dr. Maddison for their kind and compassionate care during her illness.  Blanche was very fortunate to have amazing nurses, health care aides personnel support workers, and counsellors that she would often tell she loved them, they were her second family. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to a charity of your choice.
