SMITH BETTY JUNE – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of BETTY JUNE LESLIE (CANTON) SMITH at Bluewater Health in Sarnia on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the age of 87, wife of the late James Franklin Smith (1985). Dear mother of Bill Smith of Sarnia, Sharon (the late Morley) Maw of Sarnia and Honorary son Alan Kozentis. Much loved grandmother to Jodi (Mike) Hart and Darryl (Amy) Maw. She was Ninni to Jameson and Mitchell Hart and Broklyn Maw. She will be missed by her Friend Darci Demeester and by her loyal companion Sadie, who never left her side. She was predeceased by her mother Nellie Canton and brother Robert Leslie. Betty was a longtime Manager at the Odeon Theatre in Sarnia and will be remembered for her gentle nature, sense of humor and contagious laugh. In keeping with Betty’s wishes, Cremation has taken place and a private Family service was held. Memorial donations in memory of Betty may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or Bluewater Health Foundation.
