Betty Jean Rapaich

RAPAICH, BETTY – On Wednesday, March 2, 2016, Betty Jean (Callum) Rapaich, age 95, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Bluewater Health CEE Hospital in Petrolia. She was the loving wife of the late Nick Rapaich (1986). Dear mother of Dan Rapaich (Maura), David Rapaich (Joy), Steven Rapaich (Doreen), all of Sarnia; grandmother of Colleen (Mike), Sean (Janine), Nick (Christa), Brenden (Michella), Heather (Bruce), Brooklyn (Dani), Cassy and Michael; great-grandmother of Olivia, Adam, Connor, Makayla, Nick (Cole), Brooke, Bryar, Rory, Kieran, Misha, Jace and Lila. She was the loving sister of Helen Burden and her daughters Cathy, Chris, Carrie and Kim. Betty and Nick were owners of Rosedale Variety Store and complex. She was an avid card player, “especially Bridge”.  She will be sadly missed by all her friends at Fairwinds Lodge and her family here and in Niagara Falls. Funeral services will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St., Sarnia) on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Private interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery later. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday from noon until 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations made to St. Joseph’s Hospice of Sarnia would be appreciated by the family. Memories and messages of condolence may be sent through www.djrobb.on.ca
