Bessie Marie Nickels

Peacefully and surrounded by her family at Bluewater Health on Monday January 19, 2015 BESSIE MARIE (DIONNE) NICKELS age 89 of Sarnia. Beloved wife of the late William (Bill) Nickels (1964). Loving mother of Lynn (Ben) Scholten, Mark (Mary Lou) Nickels, Dean Nickels, Dennis Nickels, Dixie (Shawn) Fraser and Todd (April) Jacques. Cherished grandmother to 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister-in-law Edna Nickels, sons-in-law Gary Smith and Gary Rawlings, daughters-in-law Jo Nickels, Anne Thomson and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by children Fred (1979), Debbie (1999), Marie (2000), Bill (2007), Lori (2013) and grandson Benny Scholten (2011). Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTRE on Friday January 23rd at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
