On Monday, March 21, 2022 Azim Tolooei, age 70 of Sarnia passed away at home. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was the husband of Suzanne Rasooli-Moghaddam, father of Darius Tolooei (Esther) and Maral Tolooei (Wahid). He was predeceased by his son, Keyanush Tolooei. He was the dear grandfather of Daniel Tolooei(13), David Tolooei (11), Adrian Forghani (17) and Myla Rahim (1 week) and brother of Reza Tolooei and Zivar Tolooei.
Azim was the son of Manzar Saridhaya and Ayoub Tolooei and was born in Tehran, Iran where he worked as an Electrical Engineer. He came to Canada in 2009 and became a proud Canadian citizen in 2014. Azim loved Canada and it was his dream to immigrate here. He was very involved in his grandchildren’s lives, babysitting them, taking them fishing and playing chess. Azim was an artist and enjoyed painting copies of the old master’s art. He also wrote poetry and has notebooks full of his original poetry. Azim had a notebook with a “bucket list”, where he wrote the names of 10 people in Iran who were in poverty and he arranged to send them money to help them. Before his passing, Azim had crossed off every name on his list, achieving his goals of kindness. He will be greatly missed.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial gathering of friends and family will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St, Sarnia, ON, N7T 5W9) on Saturday, March 26, 2022 between the hours of 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Memories, photographs or messages of condolence may be shared through www.djrobb.on.ca
