Audrey Hilda Young (January 19, 1929 - June 8 2015)

Audrey Hilda Young (nee Chate) passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospice on June 8, 2015, in her 87th year. Beloved Matriarch of the Young family, Audrey was a lifelong Sarnia resident and loving wife of the late William Herbert Young (2009). Loving mother of John (Velma) Young, Susan (Mike) Collins, Jill (Charlie) Doiron, the late Steven Young (2013), Jim (Shelly) Young, Jennifer (Hector) Audette and Mary Jane (Eric) Corda. Loving grandmother of Michael (Patricia) and Daniel (Bethany) Young, Caitlin and Cory Collins, Derek, Jeffrey and Ashley Doiron, Joshua, Jessica, Liam and Luke Young, Philippe and Dominique Audette. Proud Great-Grandmother to Lucy, Bruce and Roger Young. Loving Aunt to Scott Chate and Stephanie (Ian) Anderson; Great Aunt to Devon and Jordan. Survived by her sister Beverly Clarke, sisters-in-law's Ceil Chate, Helen (Don) Bateman, Patricia (Vic) Pauls and brother-in-law Jim Young. Predeceased by parents John William Henry Chate and Hilda Chate (nee Mercer), brothers Derek and Dick Chate and son Steven Young. We will never forget the love, hugs, dedication to family, sense of humour, birthday artwork, baking and roasted potatoes. Your heart was so big and welcoming. We loved you and will miss you. You loved us, loved us more, and loved us most.

Special thanks to Dr. Crombeen, Dr. Madison and the Staff of St. Joseph's Hospice in Sarnia, for the compassionate care and support she received. A private family funeral has taken place. Interment was at Lakeview Cemetery.
