Audrey May MacPherson

MacPHERSON, AUDREY MAY - Audrey May MacPherson (nee Harris) passed gently and gracefully from this world, at Bluewater Health, Sarnia, on Friday, May 8, 2015, at the age of 85. Audrey was the cherished wife of the late James Franklyn MacPherson (1987), and the beloved mother of James Franklyn MacPherson Jr. and Tanis Jill Wright (Glen) of Sarnia; Born February 23, 1930, in the town of Aldershot, in county Hampshire, England, to Cyril (1938) and Margaret Harris (1990). Grandmother to Ayden, Colin and Jake; Special Aunt and Second Mum to Christie Robinson (Reed Archer); Treasured "Auntie Aud" to Peter Robinson (Carol), and Jason Harris (Kirby) of Sarnia, John Harris of Mississauga, Nadine Bouchard (Edward) of Colorado, Jill Isard (Tony) and Michael Burton (Mary) of England, Richard Harris (Josephine), Audrey Harris, Graham Harris (Susan), and Steven Harris (Phuong) of Australia. Audrey was also the adored great-aunt to several great-nieces and nephews in Canada, England and Australia. She was predeceased by siblings Ruth Robinson (1966), Betty Bardwell (1980), Frank Harris (1989), Joan Burton (2002) and Peter Harris (2004). Sincere gratefulness goes to her special sister-in-law Carolyn Harris for her loving care and support of Mum in her times of need. Audrey was queenly, yet gentle, who loved cheeky humour, feeding the birds and her view over Lake Huron. Known for her wonderful cooking and entertaining in years past, she was "the girl with the beautifulest eyes in England." We wish to acknowledge and sincerely thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Charlotte Eleanor Englehart Hospital - Continuing Care in Petrolia, Vision Nursing Home, and Bluewater Health Palliative Care for their exemplary care and compassion over the past year and particularly during the past week. Funeral services will be held at the D.J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre Ltd. on Tuesday, May 12th at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if desired, expressions of sympathy may be made by donations to CEE Continuing Care, Bluewater Health - Palliative Care, The Canadian Cancer Society, The Sarnia & District Humane Society, or a charity of one's choice.
