At Bluewater Health - Norman Site on Saturday, April 3, 2010, ARTHUR CYRIL ESTENSEN, in his 82nd year of life surrounded by his family. Dear husband of 51 years to Josephine (Warnica-Cook) Estensen. Loving father of Robert (Annette) of Corunna, Albert (Andrea) of Winnipeg and Sigfred of Timmins. Step father of James Cantley Smith (Gina), Ray Gordon Smith (Gloria) and Elizabeth Ann Gordon. Brother of Albert and Harry (Charlotte) all of Ottawa and brother in law of Ronald (Minnie) Cook of Sarnia. Twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive. Predeceased by his first wife Florence Downie (1953), five children, great granddaughter Emily Smith, brother Edward (Ted), sister Alice and son in law Lawrence (Low). Art served 31 years with the Royal Canadian Navy, and was also a very avid bowler for 50 years. A memorial service will be held from the Chapel of the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE on Saturday, April 10th at 11:00 am followed by a meet and greet at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 62, located at 286 Front St., Sarnia. Interment of ashes will take place at Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa at a later date. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday afternoon and evening from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm. The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 62 will conduct a memorial service at the funeral home on Friday evening at 7:00 pm. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society (cheques only please). Messages of condolence may be sent through djrobbfh@ebtech.net
