Arlene Mary Isom

ISOM, ARLENE – Peacefully at Afton Park Place Nursing Home on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, Arlene Mary Isom (nee Fairservice), age 92 of Sarnia passed away. She is survived by her son John Philbin and his wife Wanda of Point Edward and Cheryl Fraser of London. She is also survived by special friends Susan Brown of Sarnia, John Isom of Sacremento, CA, and Kay Hurak (Ron) of Sarnia. She was predeceased by husbands Jack Isom (2014), Grant Guthrie (1985) and Bert Philbin (1984). She was also predeceased by her parents John and Blanche Fairservice and great-grandson Jacob Cousins (2010). She was the cherished grandmother of Ian Fraser, London, Michael Fraser (Kathy), 150 Mile House, BC, Amy Cousins (Kevin), Pickering and Carrie Lanz (John) of Northwood, OH. and seven great-grandchildren, Garrett, Timothy and Emma Fraser, Madison and Aidan Fraser, Sara and Daniel Cousins. Arlene was one of the first employees at both St. Clair Processing (Polymer) 1945 and Simpson-Sears (1954). She retired from the Sarnia Credit Bureau in 1980. Arlene was very dedicated volunteer with the VON and the Kidney Foundation. She enjoyed a very active membership in the Rebekah Lodge and Red Hats. Arlene was a longtime member of St. Luke’s United Church in Sarnia. Funeral services will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St., Sarnia) on Friday, December 30th, 2016 at 2:00 pm. with Rev. Melanie Kirk officiating. Cremation will follow and interment will be held at a later date at Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 1:00 pm.
