Annie Patricia Smith

Peacefully at Bluewater Health on Thursday September 1, 2016 ANNIE PATRICIA (RANSLEY) SMITH age 87 of Sarnia.  Beloved wife of the late John Thomas Smith (1928-2002).  Loving mother of  Paul Smith and his wife Jane, Larry Smith and his wife Mary, Victoria Shaw and her husband Bill, Douglas Smith and his wife Jane.  Cherished grandmother of Jason Smith (Jessica), Amy Samko (Matt), Shaun Smith (Denise), Lisa Morin (Marc), Frank Smith (Courtney Ledgerwood), Bill Shaw (Ashley), Joel Shaw (Brooke Clubb) and great-grandmother of Camryn Smith, Mary Kate Samko, Joshua Samko, Scarlett Morin, Archer Morin, Katie Morin, Aidan Ledgerwood and Marissa Ledgerwood.  Predeceased by her daughter Patricia (Oct 17, 1953-Nov 18, 1953), grandson Bryan Smith (1986-2003) and several brothers and sisters.  Annie worked in the kitchen and cafeteria at St. Joseph’s Hospital and was a member of Bethel Pentecostal Church.  In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to Bluewater Health Palliative Care Unit or the Canadian Cancer Society.  The family would like to thank the Rosewood Manor Staff for their daily care and support for Annie, the CCAC team for their quick action to assist, Dr. G. Maddison, Dr. T. Burgess and the Palliative Care Team.  Your kindness, guidance and expertise was truly appreciated during this difficult time.  Private family services will be held with interment at Lakeview Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTRE.
