Alma Mulvale

ALMA DONALDA (AITKEN) MULVALE of Sarnia died peacefully at Trillium Villa on Sunday, April 12, 2009 in her 97th year. Alma was the beloved wife of the late William Gordon é¢a‚A"Dintyé¢a‚ Moore and the late Edward Young Mulvale. Dear mother of Elizabeth (Betty) Cole and her husband Allan and David Moore and his wife Elizabeth of Sarnia and Donald Moore and his wife Marie of Walkerton. Step-mother of Donald, Jim and Michael Mulvale, Loving grandmother of Douglas and Eric Cole, Julie Coulombe (Eric), Christopher, Adam, Alysha and Evan Moore and of John Cooper ( Angela) and David Cooper (Amanda). Dear sister of Pauline Graham of Penticton, BC and sister-in-law of Polly Harborne of Sackville NB. Also survived by several great-grandchildren, seven nephews, and special friends Donna and Debbie Martin. She was predeceased by her parents Captain Herbert James Aitken and Elizabeth (Livingston) Aitken, a brother Donald Harborne and a niece, Susan Graham. A registered nurse, Alma graduated from Grace Hospital in Toronto in 1936. In 1943 she married Gordon Moore in Toronto and together they moved to Talara, Peru where they resided until 1960. At that time they returned to Sarnia where she resided for the remainder of her life. In 1972 Gordon passed away and in 1981 she married Edward Mulvale who also pre-deceased her in 1984. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at CANON DAVIS MEMORIAL ANGLICAN CHURCH (Russell and Maxwell) on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with the Venerable Dr. Gordon J. J. Simmons officiating. Visitation will take place at the church on Saturday afternoon form 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Following the service there will be refreshments for family and friends in the church hall. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to Canon Davis Memorial Anglican Church or a charity of choice (cheques only please). Arrangements entrusted to the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME.
