Peacefully with his family by his side at Vision Nursing Home on Tuesday January 20, 2015 ALLEN BASIL WYVILLE age 91 of Sarnia. Beloved husband of the late Jacqueline Mae (Claxton) Wyville. Loving father of Barry (Jane), Rick, Brad (Patti) and Blair (Pam). Cherished grandfather to Steve (Joanne), Jeff (Julie), Kevin, Craig (Deanna), Krista, Allen, Alysia (Vivek), Jillian (Jared), Andrew, Angie, Willy, late Becky (Derek) and great-grandfather to Chelsea, Christopher, Seth, Eli, Romney, Noah, Adam, Sarah, Amanda, Joshua, Ashleigh, Spencer, Helena, Ayda, Sophie, Olivia and Katie. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by brothers Fred, Ron and sister Vera. Allen was a tank driver with the Fort Garry Horse Regiment in WWII, landing in France the morning after D Day. He participated in the liberation of France, Belgium and Holland. Allen was a Cub Pack Akela for several years at Laurel Lea Church. He was an active member at Laurel Lea St. Matthew's Presbyterian Church and had retired from Polysar after 29 years of service. Resting at the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTRE where services will be held on Saturday January 24th at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday afternoon and evening from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society, Royal Canadian Legion Br 62 Poppy Fund, Laurel Lea St. Matthew's Presbyterian Church or the charity of your choice.
