Allen "Alfie" Micheal Cooper

At Bluewater Health on Thursday December 17, 2020, ALLEN “ALFIE” MICHEAL COOPER (Co-Pilot Papa) of Sarnia passed away at the age of 76.  Beloved husband of the late Yvonne (Penhale) Cooper (2010).  Cherished father of Bill Cooper, Linda Barker and Rebel of Petrolia, and Dawn Eveson and her husband Lloyd of Sarnia.  Loving grandfather to Madyson Eveson (Pilot).

Dear brother of Betty Grant, Delores Smith, Jack (Sally) Cooper, Jake Cooper, Karen Last, Joyce Boschman, Larry Cooper and Jim (Patty) Cooper.

Brother in law to Gwen Bernard, Cheryl (Frank) Blum, Daryle (Gary) Morgan, Glenda (Steve) Hilliard, Lori Walt, Kevin (Nora) Penhale, Scott (Tracy) Penhale and Brent (Jean) Penhale.

Several nieces and nephews also survived.

Predeceased by his parents Stanley and Mildred Cooper, brothers Bill (Yoyo), Doug, Tom, Bob, Stan, Don, his sister Rosie Courtis and his brothers in law Brad, Bill and Sheridan Penhale.

Al started working for the family company S.G. Cooper & Sons Ltd. as a painter, where he stayed for many years and eventually ended up managing it.  He retired after years of taking care of the family business and spent the rest of his years cracking open cold ones with the boys.

Special thanks to Alfie’s caretaker Sanford for the last little bit, and after a period of time, they were like the odd couple.

Private cremation arrangements have been held.

Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Sarnia and District Humane Society or the Bluewater Health Palliative Care Unit.
