Allan Wilfred Wanner

WANNER, Allan Wilfred - At Sumac Lodge Nursing Home on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, Allan Wilfred Wanner, age 85 of Sarnia passed away. He was the dear husband of Lois Irene (Pym) Wanner and loving father of Shirley & Doug Dochstader and Ken Wanner, grandfather of Nick & Krista, Matt & Liselle, Gabrielle & Anthony Boti and Kurtis, great-grandfather of Leila, Taylor and Sydney. Brother in law of Nona Shulman (late Tony) and Marilyn Pym (late John). Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was predeceased by his parents Russell and Matilda (LaFond) Wanner, sisters Pearl Ruston, Lois Stewardson and brothers Lorne and Alvin. Allan worked as a butcher and had retired from Welldale Meats with over 30 years of service. He was a member and Secretary of Victoria Lodge, AM & FM and a former member of Parker St. United Church and current member of Dunlop United Church. A celebration of life will be held at Dunlop United Church on Saturday, January 3rd, 2015 at 11:00 am. Cremation has taken place and interment will be held at Grand Bend Cemetery at a later date. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St. at Davis) on Friday between the hours of 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Memorial gifts in memory of Mr. Wanner to Dunlop United Church, Canadian Cancer Society or the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
