Alice (Rene) Laurine Davey

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Alice Laurine “Rene” Davey (nee Wright) on Thursday Nov. 2nd at age 90. She was the beloved wife of the late Lloyd “Dutch” Davey. Sadly missed by her children Jane (Roger) Gallaway, John (Marsha), Peter (Kathy), Marjorie (Mark) Devereaux, and Tom (Michele). Nana to Sarah (Paddy) Kennedy, David (Sarah) Gallaway, Paul (Jessica) Gallaway, Eric (Jenn) Gallaway, Natalie (Pati) Start, Maggie (Jesse) Mulveney, and Carrie Davey, Andrew Davey, Jillian (Mark) Parker, Chris (Lindsay) Davey, Ashley, Jenna, Averey, Aaron Devereaux, and Eamon and Patrick Davey. She is the Great-Nana to Eoin, Joyce, George, Fiona, Oscar, Edgar, Coralee, Everly, Reese, Nico, Levi, Pearl, Gracie, Leigh, Alison, Liam, Lola, and Millie. Rene will also be missed by her sister Ella May (George) Canning, Jean (Ron) Day, and sister-in-law Patricia (Den) Davey. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Laura and Dale Wright, and brother Jack. The family would like to give a great thanks to the girls at Roeswood Manor and Bayshore for their love and support. Cremation has taken place and friends may visit with the family at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (102 N. Victoria St., Sarnia) on Friday November 17th between the hours of 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and one hour prior to service time.  A memorial service will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 102 N. Victoria St., Sarnia will be held on Saturday November 18th at 11:00 a.m.
