Dear Albert Taillon, known affectionately as "Papooh",
Peacefully at Bluewater Health on Friday, May 24, 2024, the world bid farewell to a beloved soul. Albert Taillon, a dedicated farm worker most of his life, leaves behind a legacy of love and hard work.
Albert was born in Munroe Hills, Ontario on September 6, 1932, to his parents Albert and Aglaee. Raised among 13 siblings, family played a central role throughout his life. His proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly his family whom he cherished beyond measure.
In a journey spanned over nine decades, Albert found joy in the simplest of things. Camping under the stars, engaging in friendly card games, and perfecting the art of tossing horseshoes brought him immense happiness.
Albert's dedication to his work as a farm laborer was unwavering. His commitment and strong worth ethic were admirable qualities that defined him in the eyes of all who knew him.
A resident of Sarnia for more than 35 years, Albert touched the lives of many with his kind heart and gentle spirit. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Albert now joins his late wife Jeannine (2007), and his son Gaston (2020) in eternal peace. Left to cherish his memory are his children Lisette (Kevin), Gilberte (Jack), Gaetan, and Albert Jr. (Monica). He was a loving grandfather to 18 grandchildren and a proud great-grandfather to 22 little ones. Additionally, Albert is survived by numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Albert's remarkable life will take place at the D.J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Saturday June 1st, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
As we say our goodbyes to Albert Taillon, we remember him for the love he shared, the lessons he imparted, and the memories he gifted us with. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
